A Jerry Donahue Telecaster expected to sell for in the region of between £10,000 and £20,000

I hadn't realised that Jerry suffered a severe stroke in 2016 and has not been able to play guitar since.
The sale of this guitar is help him financially... it is signed by serious UK Rock Royalty.

Sir Paul McCartney, Jeff, Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Jeff Lynne, Pete Townshend, Tony Iommi, Mark, Knopfler, Brian Wilson.

I really hope someone buys this for much more and it helps him get through his woes. Auctioneer is Gardiner Houlgate in Wiltshire

Cool, hope it even goes for more than that.

What a player he was. Still pull up and listen to The Hellecasters. Amazing stuff.

I like the story of the final Cream(1968) concert at the Albert Hall. Clapton was playing the 335 that Jerry had sold him.

I saw Jerry here in Bakersfield a few years before the stroke. He was playing with Freebo at a local Wednesday night jam. Freebo invited me to sit in. I declined.

Loved his work with Sandy Denny in Fairport and Fotheringay. Great player.

Damn, I've see people asking as much for some garbage thing signed by B level rock stars.

If you're into signed guitars this thing is the cream of the crop. Hope Mr. Donahue gets well soon.

Yeah we've had a couple of discussions and one member here was filling us in on the med and health struggle or progress.
A huge player that probably doesn't have a rock star bank acct to fall back on.

This is nice but may be a day late and a dollar short.

Employed comfortable young young people raise more in gofundme accts to honeymoon on a beach.

Is there any place to donate to help Jerry out?

Icing on the cake would be for the "Rock Royalty", who signed the guitar, to have a "Concert for Jerry"!

Yes. And, well, he's in LA so why not a few LA stars based there do a TV special with some of his tracks with him and family there to show their love?

Icing on the cake should be (and hopefully this is going on behind the scenes and we just don’t know about it), is for Clapton, McCartney, Page, Gilmour to just say -

“Have all his expenses forwarded to my accountant . We’ll take care of everything.”

Just like Rod Stewart did for Ronnie Lane.

    Benefit concert...Signed guitar...

    Sign a freaking check !

Did JD influence your playing ? Did you enjoy his playing ? Do you have millions sitting around you’d never miss ?

    Step up fellas !
