Pretty fun reads, those books are.
He grew up in Maryland. I know the bridge he’s talking about. I went over it this weekend.
Those all look like fun to me.
Yep, wimpy kids books very enjoyable… On the subject of youngish kids books….. some hilarious, good ones around these days… this is another great series… and brilliant illustrations
Loded Diper fan here!
I read those with my son. Great series.
Used to go over it a few times a year, it's a little freaky. Glad they mention the Bay Bridge Drive-Overs, blows me away people are so scared they can't drive over but can ride over it, but it is really high and people have gone off. We were still in Maryland when this one happened: https://cdllife.com/2020/6-million-...atal-plunge-off-chesapeake-bay-bridge-tunnel/
The thing that freaks me out more than anything is when they split the traffic on one span and you're facing oncoming traffic (with no barrier!) in addition to that elevation.
When my mom was a kid, it was just the two lane bridge. They didn’t construct the 3 lane span until 1973. So it used to be one lane in each direction all the time from 1952ish until 1973.
Yeesh. Hard pass.
