Four full sized CTS pots are a tight fit for a control cavity that was made for mini pots so after I did the bridge pickup route I gave the control cavity a bit of a shave. Nothing fancy just some straight guide blocks and a little freehand routing to smooth the transitions.

I thought I had an after shot of the control cavity but at least I got the TDPRI Tele Home Depot required feet in flip-flops in the shot shot.

I can't leave the bare wood in the cavities so after an exstensive and hazardous search of the bomb crater that is my garage I found my old can of shielding paint. I think I got it from Mouser Electronics. Cheaper than StewMac. Suprisingly after many years it still sprayed.

Masked it off and sprayed a couple or three coats. Must be lacquer because it dried almost instantly.

Holy crap as my buddy Neil says (often, very often) this baby is getting very close to d-u-n-n Dunn. (That's a bass joke, son)

A little soldering, drill a few pilot holes for mounting the pickups, clean, polish and assmble. :)

Baby is a Teisco short scale my yoga instructor gave me. It was her son's but he is too busy studying trombone at UCLA.

Beautiful sunny day so the bass wanted to do a little sun bathing.
And I forgot to spray the shielding paint on the jack hole.

I haven't forgotten about this one but with so many projects some get shunted aside for a bit.
The nail polish touch up didn't harden. I don't know if the polish was bad or if it reacted to the solvent in the shielding spray but it stayed kind of rubbery so I scraped it off.
Trying again. With black super glue this time. The chips are mostly under the jack plate so I am not too sure why I am worrying about it.

Need to build it up a little more, then wait for it to cure, then razor blade scrape fine grit sand and polish it up.

Any updates on this? I've always wanted throw an EBMM humbucker in my jazz bass, so it's been great reading this thread.
