Hi I have a question about my Fender Pawn Shop Offset Special Guitar. Not a tele, so I hope it's ok to ask here.

When I bought the guitar about 7 years ago from a store, they never gave me the original trem arm for it. I've never really used trem on any guitar but after all these years but decided to give it a try.

I bought a fender jazzmaster arm online and I am trying to make it fit. It's kinda wobbly, loose and squeaky. I looked at some tutorials online, but the collet on my tail piece looks different from the examples I've seen on youtube. Mine has a tiny hex screw/plug in it.

Is there any way to make these fit together snugly?

Also, my guitar being a hybrid model doesn't have the normal jazzmaster rocking bridge. Is that needed for this trem system to work properly?

@sjtalon is right, I can tell by your collet that it’s supposed to have a threaded arm, those units came on the classic player series also, the hex nut at the bottom is to adjust where you want your arm to stop when screwing it in

It will work okay with just the tune o matic bridge
