Why are the F#7 and G9 in blue?

    Thanks.

They were probably left out of the original Ted sheet and were added recently (the chord names).
*On many original TG lesson pages he would only write the most basic of chord names i.e., G7 even though it was really a G13b5. Or leave the names off completely and have the student fill them in.

No time like the present to get one! I currently have 3 and a half. One is sentimental, one I built and it's an absolute beast. Then I have a fender that I'm gearing up to sell just because it doesn't play quite like my build, but it's still a lot of fun. I've also got a few spare parts laying around along with a neck and body.

The surf green is my build, the Fiesta red is the fender

What I'm playing is a Squier 'Cyclone'. Jag body, Strat pkups and 24.75" scale length. Doesn't sound (or feel) like any of my other Fender axes - Tele, Strat or off-set. Cool axe and super cheap.

Would I be right to hear Joe Pass using a lot of the same voicings?

At least the high voicings--the bass voicings are not pass-like

This one is definitely a bit of a workout.
The nice thing about it is that uses a lot of 'classic' Tedisms within a very normal song form - Blues in G.
If you get this one you'll have a lot of TG vocabulary in your hands.
