These guitars just might be the most underrated guitars on the market.I just got my 3rd one and it's a fantastic player.The only fault I've found is the Bigsby type trem on the JT140.Very poor replica.The pups have been swaped out on the JT140 to GFS.The other 2 are stock and sound very nice.Here's some pics of these jewels.

My jay turser sg copy is one of my favorite playing guitars. Graphtech probably supplied the nut and bridge. I will never sell it. I want a lp jayturser.

Hey folks, if anyone in the eastern US comes across a JT modern deluxe and would like to trade for an Epi Slash LP, let me know. I traded mine back to a friend and regretted the decision later on. Set neck, rosewood fret board, Duncan designed pickups, varitone switch, coil tap. Talked to Turser and they have no record of these guitars. The only colors I have seen are the one that is pictured, like a purple, a translucent green, and a light purple with no bindings. Although the pickups are a bit muddy, it really is a great player. Any help locating one would be appreciated.

Jay turser basically slashed most of their supposedly “unpopular” models off their catalog. Seems that the only models left are the strat type (300 series), LT (teles) and acoustics. All in all, very good pieces of artwork. I just bought the LT natural and she’s a thing of beauty! Came with a perfect setup out of the box, no sharp frets and the neck a nice flat rosewood 12”radius that plays like butter. It’s sad that they dropped so many models, the quality went way up since my last purchase which was i think around 2012.

The guitarist I play bass with has a red Jay Turser LP-type in his fleet, shaped like the first two of your pics with that expanded cutaway, only this one has some kind of elaborate snake or dragon inlay going up the fretboard. It’s a little over the top for me, but I love the slightly altered body shape over a traditional LP and think it sounds bright and lively.

Hey Artemio! Welcome. I'm sorry no one answered your question. Not sure what to tell you about a pickguard, but that is a nice JT.

I've had a coupe JT's....a sweet little strat I bought from a brother here for $25! Basically just to cover shipping...what a great, great guy he was. Never met him in person, but became great online/gear/life friends. Anyway, the strat was a sweet, little player. I taught (or tried!!) to teach my granddaughter with it, but she was much too young. She had fun playing it and old Papa had a blast watching her rock out.....well. pretend to!

Second was a really nice white tele with black guard and rosewood neck.It was new old stock that had been in it's case, tucked away for a few years in the back of a small, mom/pop type music store. Big chain buys em out and blows all the old stock out. The deals were so good, (I mean unreal amazing) I could not help myself and spent money I didn't have to procure every amazing deal I could find on amps, pickups, mic's, cases, pedals, accessories, strings, etc

One last peruse through the guitar section
and the JT tele caught my eye. I pulled it down and played it. Fairly nice setup....very nice neck. So I took it and added another $100 to my bill.

I did a set up on it, changed out the control plate to a proper CTS-CLR st up with cloth wiring and a used GFS "Hot 62" pickup. Don't know if they still make it, but it had a very unique voice to it. A nice mix of grit, beef and twang. I was very surprised as the 2-3 other GFS tele pups (this was a year or two after they bean biz) I tried were not up to snuff for what I was used to and expecting.

The stock neck pickup in the JT was actually quite nice....very rich, open, expressive and bluesy, so I left it in.

Wound up giving it to my grandson for his 17th birthday. Cool guitars with good bones. I'd love a 335 type myself.
