Trying to pull an acoustic set together, so I’ve been going through the Jackson Browne catalog. Stumbled on this video. Who knew he could rock so hard? Check out the percussion chick halfway through. Rock it, babe!

I walked out on a Jackson Brown concert once back in the early eighties. He forgot the lyrics to "Running on Empty", and I was so POed that I split. He is a great musician. But I was very young and full of s#%t, and not very forgiving. Now that I've been playing for over 30 years, and having forgotten the lyrics to many a song, as well as the time signatures, chord changes, ect. I could easily forgive this if it happened. Looking back, I wish I had stayed and caught the rest of the gig. Like I said, he's a great musician.

One of my favorite song writers and lot's of great unplugged material for acoustic sets too.

Love listening to David Lindley too. He was a mad man on lap steel.

Yeah I think he forgets lyrics a lot, I know he made fun of it the one time I saw him.

Well of course there is also his cover of Enter Sandman. I’ll post that next time.

Jody Linscott she's played with the royalty of rock. I've seen her several times in different bands. Awesome player. JB ain't too bad either.

I saw Jackson Browne a couple of weeks ago. I don't know who's in his band, but the 2 guitar players he has are really great.

That's a young JB for sure. One of my favorites writers and performers ever. What can go wrong with David Lindley playing the lap steel on those solos and fills!
If you dont have his acoustic album you should get it. Seen him live as solo. He does great fills and stuff other than standard chords.

I have all of his albums/CDs up to “World In Motion” except “Every Man”. Exceptional singer/songwriter! Master of the sad song; “Song For Adam” and “Fountain Of Sorrow”, among others.

A lot of people don't know that Jackson is actually a good guitar player.
Here he is trading slide licks (at the end) with David Lindley

    That Album is pure genius.

Most (if not all, I can't remember) recorded live; rehearsals, hotel rooms, concerts...

Apparently their was a lot of material recorded with a kids choir they met on the road. The choir's chaperones wouldn't give him permission to use it. I hope that surfaces one day...

BTW is that a strat with a tele neck in the above vid?

Is JB playing open G there? (no instrument handy the moment to sound it out)
