Like many of Jackson's songs this one really moves me and of course David Lindley always adds just the right accent. I also love the "embellishments" that guitarist Mark Goldenberg adds with that Tele; a perfect touch.

Same here. Great duo, always has been.

Think what you want about Jackson (not a fan of everything) I'd put his first five albums against almost anyone.

Thanks for posting, love Mr Lindley.

Perfect together. You can sing along not only to the wonderful JB melodies, but just as easily to every Lindley solo. These Days......

Pretty good Ry Cooder impression here.

He was always one of my biggest inspirations. I can never hope to play like him, but the wardrobe part I can do.

With all the Lindley love here (quite deservedly), I want to echo what @Greggorios said about the Telecasterist. Such tasty placement of fills. It’s nice to hear someone just drop that stuff in where it’s needed. I need to be better at that.

Funny, listening to this live version. The syncopated drum pattern actually kills the whole vibe. You can hear JB playing on top of the leaden feel. Record version is lively and driving.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jackson that suggested the feel change and liked it, with the drummer just doing what was asked.
