Holy heck look at all the replies

Some even mentioning SNL, do people still watch Saturday night live?

Hurr hurr hurr. Yeah, some of us do. Grumpy old man has been watching it since 1975. Even in the worst of seasons, there is occasionally a pony in there somewhere.

I never premeditate an SNL night but Saturday is pretty dismal for TV so now and then I catch a bit of it.
Still got some good comedians and some of the live bands can be cool to see in such a casual setting.
Seems like they all have fun on the show and blow off some Murican steam, so to speak...

I grew up watching MadTV so I never really got SNL

Although some of the older sketches I’ve seen are pretty good

Doesn’t seem as influential as it used to be or maybe I just don’t know

I watched the SNL performance. I really enjoyed it. Jack White is not for everyone, but it was some good 'ol rock 'n roll.

Funny thing is, this is EASILY my favorite JW track; I think it's even kinda "catchy"...

    Yes.

Yeah, 'cause no one watches broadcast television anymore. If there were no internet, everyone would still watch whatever is on... but it's a dinosaur, fading into history.

Maybe not totally my cup of tea. That said, he has the right and my endorsement, to do what he feels.

I'd rather hear his offering than a lot of other SNL acts I've heard. Again, might not be my cup of tea.

In retrospect, I can now change the channel from my easy chair. Not like it used to be when I had to get up and turn the dial.:D

Didn't see the show. I stopped watching SNL when it stopped being funny and became a vehicle for bashing conservatives.

I love Jack White! Incredibly talented. A genius. Love the rawness and adventurousness of his music.

I hope that he continues making great music for many years to come!

If the Jack White Trio went on tour, I would buy tickets to that show.
