....and have to start shipping them tomorrow via the USPS, during the busiest two week shipping cluster#@$k time of the year.

I'm taking wagers on how many of the five guitars arrive at their destinations in one piece, or arrive at all, for that matter.

It'll be fine (as long as folks don't expect them by Christmas, lol).

I’ve never had a hassle with the USPS.
    Good luck!

My wife ordered me a Fender Tele Case for Christmas from Sweetwater. They shipped in the Fender Box via FedEx. This is how it showed up. Hope it goes better for you with UPS. They are a bit more expensive but generally they do a good job.

    I have 25cents on 3 arriving intact.

I saw one guitar on the classifieds here, but what made you want to sell that many guitars during bad shipping season? I'm putting off selling a 1941 Gibson lapsteel until later, to assure it's safe arrival.

I've got 4 or 5 amp heads that rode 3000 miles with Fed-ex and all arrived with nary a scuff on the cartons. Was the case damaged?

Should be fine if there are any players in that office. There are 3 of us in my small office and when a box like that shows up, it gets the red carpet treatment...even keep it in the climate controlled supervisor's office until it is ready to go.

Now if all they have are drummers....well, good luck.

I don't use UPS, I use the USPS...not that they're any better, but they are less costly to ship with. I've yet to have a problem with them.

I'm shocked to hear you have to ship them. I assumed that those Backlund guitars had their own internal propulsion systems. They look fast sitting still.

These five are just the ones I have to ship, I've sold eight in the past ten days, the other two, one Backlund model 800, a Player Telecaster, a cheapo Grote hollowbody, were purchased by local people.

I still have three more to go before 'The Big Purge' of 2020 will end, but never fear, I'll still have about fifteen guitars left when the dust settles.

True, and I don't ship them in cases, I ship them in small hangars.

Once again , everybody’s favorite shipper is everybody else’s nightmare.

UPS is the worst/UPS is the only one I trust .

FedEx is all I use/FedEx ? Might as well throw it out of a moving train !

USPS breaks everything/I’ve never had a problem with the Postal Service

    And so on .

Good luck John and make sure you use some kind of shipping service !

My shipping timing is correct and proper, it's the holiday season that is in the wrong place. Christmas would be in April if I was the King of the world.

They all are extra-padded in fitted hardcases, within a well-packed carton. I don't mess around, those babies are as protected as well as they can be, from my end.
