Yep, that's Skunk. Quite a line up. It's like as rock orchestra.

    Trivia:

Randy was 14 and Ed was 42 when they started playing together. Ed was certainly a candidate for coolest dad ever.

Skunk has angst in his pants in this video!

There's a great Spirit album that a hippie soundman played for me once: Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus. It has "Nature's Way" on it and it was produced by David Briggs who did a lot of great albums with Neil Young.

As I recall, Skunk is playing some sort of plexiglass Roland guitar synth he was enamored of at the time.

And 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus is a pretty great album, their tour de force. The band also featured Jay Ferguson, who went on to form Jo Jo Gunne and had a bit of a solo career too. His most recent claim to fame was writing and performing the theme to The Office.

A recent posting here has Skunk playing that same guitar. You get a better look at it:

I hear that song and it's suddenly a summer day in 1968 and the song is blasting from the stereo tuned to KSJO-FM. Loved that band!

So funny - I used to love singing and playing that song live at bars and it was ALWAYS a smash. We loved it, the audience loved it. It's just one of those standards that can be done in many diff ways. Our was usually much more energetic than this one. But the harmony background singers are crucial, for it to be it's best-lol! Plenty of opportunities to scream a bit too on that G chord chorus

Man, that song. Played that one in high school, seems like a couple weeks after it came out. Good tune to get 'em up and dancing.

All those guys weren't in the band. They were just there for the video.

    Skunk was never a member.

    My fave Spirit song..
