Nudity is frowned upon by most forums.
Strategically placed tubes or pots in pics won't always save you.
I just checked my forum acct there... I seem ok, not banned.
I used to check them out quite a bit on some mods for my lil 5F2-A project. Might try Tubenit's single tube reverb.
Not sure why your seeing that? Would a VPN be such a bad thing?
It looks like you were caught with some sort of security measure to me.
VPNs are used for all sorts of illegal activities. So I can see forums banning by default people using them.
What's a vpn?
Its not like you ran away at Bitter Creek.
It's a common experience here to encounter things of this nature using a VPN. Earlier today a web page wouldn't load, had to shut off the VPN and voila, the page loaded.
I'm staring at my stubby sword right now, a steely glint in my eyes.
Virtual private network. It's a way to connect users more efficiently. Apparently it's also a way to disguise bad behavior. I'm using one now and have had no problems on TDPRI
I’m about to ban you for too many acronyms !
In my youth I was banned from 2 strip clubs. I do know why though. Sounds like you been a baaaaad boy.
He was touching the tubes?!
When I'm listening to someone, and they start throwing them acronyms around, I get stuck after the first one, I see it just hanging in the air. I get involved in looking at it like and oncoming train rushing towards me, and I lose , uh, track of everything they are saying.
Speaking as a computer security professional there is nothing sketchy about using VPNs... this seems like an extremely strange security policy. The further you get into the world of computer security the more often you meet people using VPNs 100% of the time for safety. I am not great about using them but I semi-regularly get reminders I should be using them more.
Forcing people to not use VPNs does not prevent someone from playing funny games with the IP address.
I find it far more believable a forum owner would ban registering from a VPN because it would impede the forum owner's ability to harvest data/spy on the users.
Hey, man, you don't talk to Doug Hoffman. You listen to him. The man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet-warrior in the classic sense. I mean, sometimes he'll, uh, well, you'll say hello to him, right? And he'll just walk right by you, and he won't even notice you. And suddenly he'll grab you, and he'll throw you in a corner, and he'll say "Do you know that 'if' is the middle word in life?
Glad we cleared this up.
Get out, or off, or what ever you do with your VPN in private, and then get on that website and give him a good cyber-thrashing
it isn't about efficiency it is about security.
I was banned from the International Disco in Haarlem back in '82. Never knew exactly why, since I came in often and spent way too much money. I'm over it now, anyway. I'm still here, the International is long gone.
