A Campy?? I'd probably donate $6k in the attempt to win it. Then lose it in the divorce.
expensive imported brown cardboard.
I'm giving a huge pre-emptive thank you to Fender and all the other vendors!!!
You guys & gals rawk!!!
A lot of work for Paul, but he like opening the boxes I am betting...
Carboard box sniffing! It's highly addictive, and very contagious!
Paul, you are a star!
I remember last year's draw and I was following it on Twitter whilst waiting for a train at St. Pancras station in London!
Sadly my name didn't come up this time - did in 2003! - but I was delighted to see my friend Rick J win one of the major prizes. Rick and I had been to see Bill Kirchen play in London the night before and I rang to tell him he'd won. I'm not sure who was more delighted. Him or me!
It's great fun and helps the TDPRI continue to be this fine place.
Now a $6000 Custom Shop?
I'm sure I could find the answer to this if I looked hard enough, and I realize that someone already asked, but the answer wasn't very specific. How do we enter? Do you have to "donate" to the site? I've been involved in a few of these over at Jemsite.com and we had to endure a workaround to make it legitimate.
What is the deal at TDPRI?
No work arounds here. Provided you're over 18, live on planet earth and you are a member of the TDPRI, you can enter.
A donation (think it was $20 last year [admin edit -- it's been $25 for the past 6 years]) gets your name in the hat or you can supply your details by post. I expect it to be similar this year but Paul will let us know.
Great fun and helps fund the TDPRI.
Wow... I've never won anything. I can't wait untill it's time for this. Somebody is gonna be very happy!!
Unless UPS drops the ball, steps on it, and kicks it off the truck!
Been a year already?....
This is better than when the Christmas catalogs used to show up in September.
Let's see now ........... the Merle Haggard "Tuff Dog" has a list price in the $6000 range.
Holy crap ......... just checked ......... it now has an MSRP over $7000.
A brown box never looked so good!
Wow, somebody will surely be very happy with a $6k Fender CS. Give us a peak, will ya?
Looks like that box has taken a couple of hits. I hope the guitar is unmarked when it reaches me!
Same here Mike !
Whatever it is, it will be excellent. The honchos here really know how to pick some beautiful stuff. It's nice that the place is run by fans.
