OK, so what's 70s song included the lyrics:

"I don't know how you do, what you do, but you do... and I like it"

I can hear the tune in my head. I can remember listening to it on AM radio in the 70s. I can place everything but the title and artist.

Help! This is driving me nuts -- I google the lyrics and get NOTHING. That has never happened before, when I was so sure of the lyrics.

If this isn't a song, then I'm going to have write it. If I was listening to it in a parallel universe in the 70s and it never crossed over when I hit that wormhole, I may have a huge hit on my hands! (SSSSSHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Don't tell anyone! This has to be our little secret! ;) )

    Well.....
I recognized the lyric phrasing but not the lyrics themselves....I'm old.
I typed in what I recalled and what I thought was the lyrics were and got this:

    Hope that helps....carry on.

That crease running down the middle of your brain is the Fissure of Rolando. I remember that from the crappy sci-fi movie The Brain From The Planet Arous.

Wasn't there a Herman's Hermits or Freddy n the Dreamers song along those lines?

I'm sure when I can't remember what I had for lunch or if I'm wearing pants I'll remember the bridge to "Ferry Cross the Mersey".
    Kind of pathetic really.

Oh well, anybody else in on "Come on Down to my Boat Baby" in G? or how 'bout "This Diamond Ring"......2,3,4. OMG add "Time is on My Side", "I Feel it in my Fingers" and "Hang on Sloopy" plus "Twist and Shout" and it's a set list.

    Somebody stop me!:p
