Today was the first day that our favorite restaurant had their patio open for the season. The last couple times we were there, the owners mentioned that they were looking forward to seeing Yuki again, so we brought him with us. We met another couple there who are also Yuki friends, so we were all on the same page.

Everyone coming into or coming out of the restaurant stopped at our table to ask us about him or at least erroneously guessed his breed or yelled out "look it's Doge!"(doge is a Shiba Inu who is a bit of an internet legend). It's all fun and good natured and we try to take it in stride, but our food was getting cold with the interruptions.

At one point, my GF said "look behind you" there were several people in the restaurant with their phones up against the window, taking his/our photos and/or video. It's so weird. Our friends were laughing because they have heard us talk about this before, but never actually saw it in person.

When a women on the other side of the window started tapping on the glass to try and get his attention for a photo, I slipped my Wayfarers on him to help conceal his identity

He does, it wears on us a little at times. He does love the attention for the most part.

I'm thinking of quitting my job and taking him into the city to panhandle.

    Dude ,
He’s already probably taken your girlfriend and working with an attorney to get you made a ward of the state in an institution.

Cool. We have a white shepherd dog and they're fairly rare so we get lots of comments and questions when we walk her on the local greenway. She could care less but loves to be petted.

I walk our 2 bloodhounds around some popular nature trails here in SE Michigan. Bloodhounds being quite rare in these parts, I get a lot of stop-and-chat interruptions. Tangled leashes and apologies for the slobber, mud, and wet dog smell are always the order.
