The Khan Academy on YouTube is a life saver for me!
If you don't mind my asking, without being too specific, what hood did you pick?
My hood is Kingwood and I am considering buying a boat
Got to try and get 6 demo recordings mixed down on Saturday.. then should be playing out Sunday. Will be cranking the big Mesa rig... nice!
But first I have to escape London and I am sorely tempted to have night in town instead. Don’t fancy hours on a rush hour Friday train amongst the farts and sweaty bodies.
I’m going to see David Bromberg Quintet on Saturday night here in San Diego area.
Then we go out for dinner Sunday night at a great seafood place during “Restaurant Week” here where you get a great prix fixe 3 course meal for $40 (which would otherwise be around twice as much). Not that I’m that cheap, but I do appreciate a bargain.
The rest of the weekend is playing sax (and guitar). Got new tunes distributed for the jazz band and need to learn them by rote as my sight reading falls far short of mediocre.
Bird pix from last weekend..
Concert festival at local music store to celebrate its 25th Annie. Then off to the local art cinema for the Linda Ronstadt film
Sunday is a concert of the chamber winds from the local symphony, and then continuing with the Ken Burns documentary on PBS..
We're in the Heights; feels like home.
And yeah, never know when a boat might be just the thing - can't always wait around for the Cajun Navy to show up...
Hosting the weekly Open Mic at my friend's cafe tonight and weather permitting, playing a Farmer's market on Sunday. Paul will be in my thoughts. Cheers for the VH FG (not the Eddie variety tho I'm down it that too.)
Happy Weekend Ya'll
Today is my wife's birthday so whatever she wants this weekend is what we'll do. Dinner tonight for sure at a nice seafood restaurant and football on Sunday because she's an even bigger fan than I am.
I just went on-call today. I won't be going far from home for the next week.
I'm striking from work today in support of climate activists.
Gig tonite and tomorrow afternoon...these make 9 nites in a row.
Sat nite and Sunday reinventing the word “lazy” by starting a binge watch of an amazon series.
Have you caught a show in the Heights Theater on 19th? Great little venue!
Me too. Wife is not into that stuff so a perfect time for me to go during the day.
Great post. Just gave my Les Paul traditional a spa bath. My new Marshall amp is out for delivery..next hour or two..getting antsy..then get poo poo faced. Tomorrow I'm cooking a chicken marinara soup. Chicken, hot sausage, and heavy on fresh Basil. I Live an exciting life. too funny.
big news for my week one of my co-workers won over 2 million in the canadian lottery , Good for her and what a way to start retirement , and she bought the ticket at our store , I wish her all the very best, for me its nice to know that at least some one came out ahead !
for the weekend Im looking at repairs for Peavey 5150 II EVH signature and Yorkville Bass 800 and designing 2X15" video monitors (One built and tested already ), 3X 20"video monitors, and if there is enough time a 27"video monitor
Hey FG cool thread , thanks And Big VH back at you!
Man, if if I found out I won 2 million while at work, I'd be gone like stink.
We should point out to non-Canadian forum members that there's no tax on lottery winnings, so that 2 million goes right into yo pocket!
yes we are only taxed on the interest accrued , life is hard!
one of my superintendants for the federal Government won 25,000,000.00 on lotto max
and one of my employees here in kamloops won 2,000,000.00 a single dad with 3 daughters
so this is the 3rd person I knew to win a sizable amount.
all the best to them
Damn good advice for this weekend, next week, and every moment. Let's all honor the ones that we love. Thanks Deeve.
Do a volunteer shift at a local hospital then sleep. Pretty much it. Oh, church on Sunday. Mrs. Idjster is singing.
