Last week we had the hottest day since the 1880s on that date at 103 degrees. Today, besides the cold and rain in the valley, it snowed in the mountain towns above us.

Just saw the forecast. 77 tomorrow, 85 Saturday, 95 Sunday, and 90s continue to next Friday when it hits or tops 100. Yup, this is Idaho.

I wish it was cold. Even cold and raining. Of coarse we’ve had too much rain around here.

We got .71 inches of rain today out of nearly 12 hrs of continuous rainfall. That increases the year to date total by about 50%.

During May, we caught up precipitation-wise, now the rains have moved east, and the heat has turned on: 95F for the high today, heat index around 10 degrees more. It's just a little above average for this time of year- gonna be a hot one!

Saying from New England (where things are not nearly as bad as Alberta): "I hope summer is on a weekend this year".

Brutal! It can get hot here in summer but the humidity is low. The weather here is similar to the prairies of North Dakota and Montana.

I'm looking at triple digit high temperatures for the next 10 days.

Good luck to everyone this fire season, My Papa was living in Lake Tahoe during the fire in the sixties All I can say is that it is very tragic for those who have their lives and livelihoods affected.

Poured rain 24 hours straight. Tonight I cranked up the wood cook stove for pasta dinner and then baked brownies. Probably last frost of the season tomorrow morning as it clears up and start warming up again.

It's winter Downunder and two southern states have had an Arctic Blast, Feet of snow Trees down , and power lines, and rain. Floods as the snow melts. Wow- from fires to polar weather in one country. Far north is where I'm heading for a tropical winter, warm sunny and about 32C ( 90F) .

Hot, yes. Brutal, eh,maybe! We Texans kinda get used to it, plus we have very widespread use of air conditioning. what I couldn't take is what y'all contend with all winter, and we got a good dose of last winter- the cold. I guess we all have our crosses to bear.

If air conditioning working in summer, heating works in winter. Plus, you can always dress for cold weather. If I'm naked and still hot outside, what then?
