it's 98 degrees today with just a dash of humidity (make that 67%)

and I've been out cutting brush. I know, I know I could just wait until 1AM when the temp "plummets" into the upper 80's to do it, but honestly past the point where your skin begins to "crisp" it's pretty academic.
    BUT!
    WAIT!
there IS some good to be had, some tiny fragment, even if it seems you are "rooming with Sisyphus".
go inside, without even 1cm of dry textiles on/about your person, into a room that is already sitting at about 68 to 70 degrees F and locate a chair suitable for a Zen experience and perch your ass.
then grab a high velocity fan- my preference is a Vornado pedestal- put that sucker on High and stick your face about 10" from the guard.
I don't want to take anything away from the passions of youth, but it just might be better than sex.

I don't know how you Texans can take that heat. It's very humid and hot here today, and it's only 85 right now. A good day to be indoors with the A/C on.

The humidity is the worst , about 70%.

It's been ridiculously hot here today, and it seems to be getting worse. Duke doesn't even want to be out there. Remember to give the pets plenty of water, and keep them cool if possible.

I’m a native Texan and I’ve never had a problem with the heat. It’s hot so you either stay inside or deal with it.
I moved here, for the last time, in 1993 and I’d rather it be warm/hot than cold

I find it amazing that our temps are cooler than most of North America.

    Crazy times

We don’t have AC but have 6 ceiling fans, an oscillating fan and a tower fan. Open the doors, open the windows, turn on fans when you are in the room (turn them off when you leave the room) and it’s really comfortable for the most part

97 degrees here today, humidity over 80%. AC bit the dust, blown capacitor in the compressor. $350 later, we are cool again. There goes my Warmoth Roasted Ash Tele body fund :(

The ocean waters around St Croix absorb solar energy at a much higher rate than the land in the middle of the continent, causing the air above the ocean to be cooler. Conversely, the ocean releases energy in the form of heat when the air is cooler, acting as a "heater," making winter temps somewhat warmer, in addition to the southern location.

It was only 95F here today in MI and not really too bad if you didn’t exert yourself much. I’ve done a fair bit of outdoor brush cutting, digging and building in temps like that over the years and while I agree on how good a fan can feel after that I don’t think it’s better than sex. My memories of both are admittedly fading a bit.

When I read the thread title and the humidity number my knee-jerk response was “Oh just shut up.”

But upon reading your post, it seems you and I are enjoying a parallel evaporative cooling experience, but with more humidity here.

A LOT of condensate coming off the A-coils of AC units around here, right now...

Preaching to the choir my friend.

We had a heat index close to 110 degrees on Saturday and I was out delivering mail. What is worse is that our trucks only have a squirrel fan to cool you down and they are basically just ovens on wheels. The temperature inside the cab was 114 degrees around lunchtime.

I am still trying to catch up on hydration 8 hours since clocking out.

It was bad here so I stayed in the house most of the day. Humidity was unbearable.

I went and got a double cheeseburger, pot roast sandwich and fries.

Luckily, I'm still alive to tell about it...

97F expected today with 97% humidity expected today...heat index of 107F. It was just short of that yesterday and cut my yard work short, overdid it...I'll be staying inside today.
