An Old and Very Good Friend is in the Hospital with a Terminal Liver Condition.
I was in his room when the Oncologist came in and told there is Nothing they can do.

His Skin is Yellow, he weak, confused and, simply how you never want to see one of your best Friends.

He is a good Man, Great Guitarist, Bassist, Vocalist and, a Friend to many, many, people.

Eight of us came to see him today. The Hospital staff came in a lot. I think THEY just wanted be around all the Laughing and good times.
I found the Largest Maker I could find and wrote in a space reserved for "Goals".
I wrote PARTY!!!

Every time somebody came in to the Room, he Pointed it out.

When Mrs String Tree and I got there, he was watching a News Channel.
In his Condition, it was really stressing him out.
I found a Classic Rock Station that was playing some Hendrix. MUCH Better!

Around Dinner time, His Daughter arrived.
We had already agreed that when she showed up, we would leave.

As we filed out of the Room, Joe Cocker was singing High Time We Left!

My advice to the Youngern's: Keep your friends close. The older you get, the more you will need them!

Just thought I would add, he currently has these items in his stash:
Gibson 335, 2002 Tele, '96 Strat, Yamaha SG2000, Breedlove Acoustic, Squire Jazz Bass and a lot more.
The Stage won't be the same without him.
