...and ended with me rearranging my amps. Let the head-to-head commence!
Nice collection. I have a Pro Junior. No interest in Blues Juniors. But I've been dying to get one of the '68 Deluxe Reverbs. Can't imagine I'd need much else.
Thanks! The '68 Deluxe Reverb covers most of my needs. The Custom and Classic voices check many boxes for me!
Nice collection you have there! Love my PJIV! What is your opinion on the head to head? Tell us about those Supro’s...
The Supro Blues King... i couldnt play one, but seems really gooood. Any comment?
Which supro is on the bottom?
So on the head to head...I'll start by saying I like them both. But I like the PJ IV the best. Turning off the Reverb in the BJ IV and not using any additional effects into either, the tone of the PJ hits my ears better. Both take pedals great. If I were gigging it, I'd likely take the BJ IV since I could do alot with the built in reverb and footswitchable boost. But pure personal satisfaction...PJ IV.
The Supros are the Blues King 12 and the Tremo-Verb. The TV is by far my favorite of the two.
The BK 12 is a keeper for me. I took a chance when they blew them out at Sweetwater several months back. There is a pretty good community of BK12 users here, and there are some pretty good threads with observations.
The Tremo-Verb! One of my top two amps I own. For on board reverb and trem, the TV and my '68 Custom Deluxe are all I have in the arsenal. Love 'em both for different reasons, but if there could only be one...it would be the TV.
No BJ for me, but Yes for a SCX2 (Still longing for a sonicBlue amp cover... could not get that version os SCX2). Of course, main thing is the PJ IV!
