The preacher walks up to me this morning before church and shakes my hand and tells me how much he appreciates my talents and abilities. He went on to say how my playing just adds something extra and he knows without looking it's me playing. Right after church two more guys walk up and shake my hand and tell me the same thing, that they think my playing adds something extra. It's nice to know that what we do up there isn't being taken for granted and that we as church musicians are making a difference and touching peoples lives.

A little recognition can go a long way.

My church just gave us a HUGE box of Tithing envelopes. Not exactly a pat on the back...

They say brevity is the heart of wit. You sir, are professional comedian. I suppose it could be worse, one of the elders could have approached you after worship to set up a meeting to discuss your impending church discipline...….;)
