I hesitate to say so and perhaps throw a curse on those of us around here, but in northern Michigan summer may have finally arrived. It’s been wet and is still wet, but the clouds broke, temps rose and the lake mayflies are hatching in numbers that show they realize it’s a few weeks late. Looks beautiful. The US and Canada are blessed with lovely scenery, mountains, rivers etc.

As a child we would spend a few weeks at the family farm in the UP, swim in Green Bay, pick blueberries, and eat pastries. The good life.

The pinky, in my opinion, is as nice as Michigan gets . Leelanau peninsula .

Of course many other folks do too - that’s why lake front there is the most expensive in the state.

Btw, here’s some Michigan dirty laundry for you : it’s always been said that the Lk Huron shore (sunrise) is for the guys who work in job shops and the Lk Michigan shore (sunset) is for the guys who own the job shops.

    Nice shot Stubee !

It was a bit chilly the last few mornings with a bit of snow just above us, but it is starting to feel like summer around here too.

Bells Oberon has been a measure of summer in Michigan but they've got so much distribution now that our stores had it a good while ago.

Peaches and cherries are another measure to me but that's later.

Back home in AZ, it’s been hot for 2-3 months. Summer is finally here in Western Québec. It rained a bit today, but warm. La femme and I took a swim in the pool last weekend.
