I think I'd rather use leaves or old newspapers... were they at least flatwounds?

No biggie. No gigs means no need for string changes.

I should just buy one of those Bulk Packs from MF. I'd rather spend my money on frozen food.

What I may do is Play Guitar One until the strings stop holding pitch, then move on to the next guitar and do the same to that one - and so on.

And if I run out of "fresh" guitars before they have this mess fixed, then you all should panic.

Can you explain? Was he Jamerson-esque about string changing?

Also, how often are you people changing strings?

If I learned anything from Tom and Jerry cartoons is that you can use a cat's whisker as a guitar string.

I saw on FB a couple weeks ago that my local brick & mortar store (literally named Brick & Mortar Music) would be closing on the following Sunday, in accordance with the state mandate. So, I stopped by on Saturday and stocked up on 6 sets of EB Slinkys, plus a set of D'Addarios for my acoustic. I also bought a T-shirt commemorating their 5th year in business. I figured I would do whatever I could to help them stay afloat through the, um... you know... thing that's happening. They're down to mail-order only right now, though they're not really set up as an online retailer.

I like StringsByMail. (stringsbymail.com) Their prices are reasonable, and pretty fast delivery. (at least were....haven't ordered recently) Plus, I'm now using Pyramids, and find they last much longer for me.

I ordered a 10 pack of EXL110s and a replacement Snark from Sweetwater and they got here in 3 days. That’s unheard of. So, I’ve got 13 unopened sets plus the relatively new set on the tele & Washburn

On a sad note, there was no candy in the package. I was pretty bummed

Might as well just not change them. But, yeah, strings do break. Generally at the worst possible time.
