I bought a Filson bridle leather 'double' and a Galco, both about 25 years ago. Wear one of them every day. Don't see any reason to change now.

I switched to baseball belts with jeans and cargo shorts a long time ago, mostly because I usually wear untucked shirts with jeans and shorts. I still wear leather belts with with anything fancier than jeans or any time I’m tucking in my shirt.

I have a leather belt and wear the same jeans everyday, leave it on and leave everything in my pockets so it’s easy when I leave

The interesting thing about belts is that when you hit that moment where you need to make that extra notch, you can kid yourself that you've lost weight, when the reality is that your trousers don't go quite as high because of your belly

I do. Still wear leather belts when I'm dressed up, but 90% of the time, I'm using slightly stretchy web belts.

Belt? I'm with Milspec - I don't leave home without one on. The belt color matches the footware color (and the holster color matches the belt).

A big thumbs up for Beltman products. They do leather right.

    Agreed.

I must confess though, I am very conscious of the belt buckles, no matter the configuration or construction.
This is re; us being guitar players.

I really hate the thought of scratching the back of my guitars.

I tend to, therefore, wear my shirts untucked, especially when I'll be playing.
On stage it's a different story, since I tend to wear a soft vest, which covers the belt buckle.

    :)

No belt squeezes you. You're simply wearing it too tight.

Or you need a longer belt.

It's time to get back on the keto diet when the belt gets too tight.

I have a need to wear a belt at work. I lift, reach, twist, and bend to pick stuff up all day. Stumbled onto the concept of elastic belts, and I’m a convert. My shirt stays tucked in better, and it’s comfortable. Away from work, no belt. Unless the pockets of my cargo shorts are carrying more than five pounds each.

In addition to stretchable belts, ratchet belts are also an option for just the right fit[IMG]

The last time I had a belt near me, it was my dads....and it hurt like hell.

My waistline hasn't changed since high school, so I just buy pants that fit right.

I usually wear a narrow medical lower back brace under my pants, so then the belt is cosmetic, but if I don't have the brace on, I cinch up the belt one notch more just for the back support.:(
