I hated the tightness of leather belts, and I thought it wasn't healthy.

About 15 years ago I started using baseball belts made of a strong elastic. It gives when needed.

    Best belt decision ever.

Any other baseball belt users out there?

Belts don't need elasticity to be comfortable. They just need to fit you.

I like a leather belt that's sturdy enough to support a holster....what kind of holster I ain't sayin'.

Don't trust someone who wears belt and suspenders, cause they don't trust their belt or suspenders, however you want to look at it.

I've known a couple "old timers" who wore both. The belt was for "looks" (with a jacket) the suspenders kept their pants up. I guess the guys' bellies weren't the right shape for just a belt. ;)

    Whew.
    It's actually about belts.

    Man.

I was worried that this thread would be about Robin Williams or David Carradine.

    I'm gonna shut up now.

Me, I like belts. I like leather belts. I like leather belts that have a design to them. I like belts with southwestern designs to them. I have brown belts and blue belts and some multicolored belts and one black belt. I know some people who don't wear belts. I think they should be belted.

I actually like a good quality leather belt. Can't say that I ever felt squeezed by a belt nor needed any stretch, but everybody is shaped a little different. A good canvas web belt is good as well and that gives a little bit of stretch over leather...cheap too. A leather belt is part of the uniform where I work, but I seem to be the only one who actually wears one. To me, if you have belt loops on your pants, you should be wearing a belt. In the Marines you couldn't leave your barracks without a belt and a tucked in collared shirt...even if off duty. To go out without a belt on just feels wrong to me....although I have skipped the tucked in collared shirt over the years.

The best belts I own all came from one place: The beltman.

Around the house I wear elastic waisted track pants, A leather Levi's belt with jeans but with the right size jeans there's no real need for a belt. Its just insurance.

At work I wear a webbed belt with a plastic army style buckle on it, great for airports or starting honda 4 stroke engines when the pull start breaks.

I have not tried a baseball belt, typically wearing leather or leftover web belts. If I don't feel like a belt, I'll wear suspenders, gym shorts or sweats (for which there are multiple holster options:rolleyes:).

I wear a belt daily, almost entirely with jeans. Leather usually, and occasionally a canvas or nylon military style one.

A belt that “gives” doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. They work by being rigid.

I usually put just a little bit of cinch in my pants. Even though it’s not necessary, it helps provide a “tailored” fit and look.
