Is to possible to get a fake binding on a Telecaster with rounded edges?

I have this Vintera Telecaster in Fiesta red that I love:

And I saw this other model that has a white binding that I think would look very beautiful in combination:

Is it possible to replicate this? The thing is, I'm not sure how difficult it would be, specially considering that the edges of my Tele are "rounded"

The vintera fiesta red is sealed in gloss clear. The fake binding would be painted on top of that. There would be a slight bump to the feel, possibly stiky under the forearm, it wouldn't age gracefully and might be hard to remove.
Personnally I would leave that gorgeous Vintera Tele as is. Congrats on a very nice Fiesta red '50s Tele btw!

They make white 1/4" tape that can be used for that purpose. Put it on yourself and see how you like it.
