    I'm sorry if this is discussed, I couldn't find any thread of it.

    I guess my curiosity is getting the best of me, I've been watching this eBay auction since it started and it is climbing fast it came out around 150-200$ now it's up to over 2000$ with 48 bids

    Is there a possibility that the parts are genuine Fender vintage parts? It is a partcaster no doubt, but are the parts genuine vintage?

    Looks like a home relic job to me. specially the neck. Possibly som old
    parts but I would not go close.

    Just no way to tell. Any markings on the neck or neck pocket that could provide any proof are gone, if they were ever there in the first place.
    He could have shown the back of the pots but didn't.
    The whole thing is just one big red flag.

    I might risk $500-600, but once it got over that I'd be out.
    Doesn't matter if it's real, if you can't prove it.
