I recently stumble upon this Tele in an antiques market in Puebla, Mexico. The seller is asking for $4,500 MXN which is around $230 USD. I was wondering if anyone can help me with some info like year or manufacture country and if it's fake or not.

Fake, ugly, and assembled and strung by a bonehead.

Save your money, it's fake as fake can be.

Exception is if you have an emergency gig situation tonight and need something to play live at Teotihuacán with a Echorec and Fuzz Face.

it may be the light but it appears to be a maple cap on that neck even though it has the skunk stripe.

And it is not string through which I would think would be the case of a vintage instrument.

    Body looks like plywood?

Is that a gasket between the body and neck?

That is not a Fender sized neck plate.

It probably came from China with the neck plate.

I'd like to have a look under that bridge plate. The pickup is upside down.

    Fake as a hooker's teats.

But strangely appealing, after you pound down six or seven beers.

    The guitar too.

    :(
