    Hi,

i'm looking to buy my first Telecaster. Because it'll be my first Telecaster I want to ask is this one worth 600€(about 715$)?
3 pickups(not original routing), 5-way switch. and I can see that it has new tuning machines. There is "Made in Japan" stamp ant serial number LXXXXXX. Body is made out of 3 pieces Ash.

My next choise would be G&L ASAT made in Indonesia.

    Thank you!

On paper, I would say no (especially, not knowing what the pickups are). It's certainly a no when it comes to resale value.

Having said all that, if I were you, I'd find out more about the specs, and if I got to play it and liked it, and if I didn't care about resale, I'd haggle for a lower price, and I'd consider it.

    Welcome to the forum!

Japanese Fenders are well-made, but this one has been abused. I'd vote against it.

I'd definitely say no. It's a low end model that's been messed with a lot, quite possible that only the neck is actually Fender..

I have no idea of the market in Poland but the price seems high for guitar that is questionably altered. I don't like relics and that one is not natural at all. My MIJ is one of my favorite guitars, I would keep shopping. Having said that if you can play it and like it then why not?
I have a G&L ASAT (MIA)as well, great guitar but I don't know as this would scratch the Tele itch if I did not have one.

WAY to high considering how much it's been altered.

Two years ago I picked up an '86 MIJ Fender '69RI Pink Paisley Tele with OHSC for $600 in amazing shape.

So in comparison, the guitar you're looking at is too expensive.

I say nie. Too beat up, and in never going to pay good money for a home relic job.

For that money, you should be able to find a better mij or mim that's similar.

Then again, try it, and if it's nice, ask if the seller will negotiate.

I would pass on it. Unless you can talk the seller down to $400 or less. She is pretty beat.

The cheapest you would see an MIJ telecaster in Poland would be €500 nowadays. Having said that, I would stay away from this guitar, unless you can test it for a while and remove the neck, look under the pickguard etc. Is it me or does it have 4 different neck plate screws?

I'd pass. Who knows what's going on with that guitar. Obvious mods made. Even the output jack looks funky. Neck pup route on PG is wrong. Might have squier pickups for all you know.

I might buy it if it was great but I just can't tell from pictures.
Some funny parts swapping like different neck screws that make me think it may have unseen problems.

Without being able to examine and see problems I'd say no.
