Is this an FSR MIM Telecaster?

I picked up this great looking Tele a couple days ago and I can’t find another on line exactly like it. I have found a few with similar configurations but not the painted headstock. Anyway, here’s a fun one to look at and if anyone on the forum has any information about these I would appreciate hearing about it! Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! You can also contact Fender with the serial number and they'll get you whatever info they can.

Wish I could help you ouy but other than a few Thinlines, I've not see a Strat headstock ona Telecaster from Fender.

I've not seen one like this before.

There was also the Fender Tele Deluxe with a Strat headstock - the originals from the 1970s , various reissues of it, and the current American Professional II Tele Deluxe.

I don’t recall ever seeing a Fender model with those pickups, but I wouldn’t put too much stake in that. I know that Fender has occasionally built models for one particular chain of stores, etc. so it could still be factory.
