Is this '76 Fender Tele authentic?

    Really none of my business but I'll ask anyway. Are you buying it to play? Or collect? I ask because you can build to your specs. for a lot less money. Just saying.

    I vote HELL NO on this proposed purchase.

    Too much distance, too many unknowns, and the sales website and pedigree are sketchy.

    But that's just me.

    Everything in me says don't do it - if it's a Japanese seller I am instantly cautious. Anything I see listed by them (usually LPs) is usually 3 times the price of anywhere else. Guitars, I see the exact same item listed by several places everywhere online.
    Not a good vibe unless dealing with a specific bricks-and-mortar store with an address, a reputation and a telephone!
    YMMV.

    Overall those Teles and Strats from 76 to 79 really weren't that nice. Just my opinion.
