Is there any reason I shouldn't put a Tele neck on a LP Special body?

    .

Just measure the correct length to the bridge saddles to match the neck scale length. If using a wrap lightning bolt bridge there is a two to three degree angle from the bass side bolt to the treble side bolt. Use (cotton) strings on E and e to align the bridge where you want before drilling. I put masking tape down on the body to do all the drawing.

If the pickup pocket(s) are cut already the guitar will be a little more bassy than typical because the pickups will be further from the bridge saddles. Which will be good. I have a LP Special Junior that I rotated the bridge pickup so the screw side is on the neck side now, lowered and raised the screw poles, and it's a lot more beefy.

Other than the different geometry, different scale, different string spacing at the saddle (probably), different fretboard radius, different shape of the heel and mortise, different method of attaching the neck......

Aesthetics are in the eyes of the beholder....

This also depends on how the neck pocket is routed.

If the neck pocket is angled, then a ABR/Jr style bridge won't be hard to install. Another option is the Tele style bridge plate with a ABR/Rollor bridge attached.

I am proceeding. Just started putting primer on the body. Should be fun. Gonna be a gold top.

I bought some British Racing Green for the other body. Should look cool with a white pickguard & knobs.
