I'd take it back to the shop where you bought it...or contact shop if bought online and tell them the nut is way out...which it is...showing them the pics...they should replace free of charge if it's still under guarantee. If they say Stevie Wonder cut the nut and it's a special one off...don't believe them !

I'd go with one of these:

    https://graphtech.com/products/aged-tusq-xl-fender-style-slotted-nut

I recently changed mine because of to low cut slots, and now it feels like the guitar cost a few hundred bucks more.
It's pretty much a drop in replacement, with perfecly cut slots.
The only thing to sand the width and the little protuberance at the botom if the nut slot is curved.

Adjust the action if needed and done.

    Indeed very easy!

And, if it's a budget guitar even better, a very good learning experience.
    Here's a very good video:

My first Tusq nut I installed was on a Gibson Les Paul, and I have to admit I was quite scared.
It was not hard but it took me a fair amount of time.
The second one on the other hand on my MIM Strat was done in 15 min.
On the fenders it's really just drop in.

It looks like a typical MIM standard nut to me. The ones I've seen have all been badly spaced for years.
