My partscaster is almost 30 years old and it has been apart as much as it has been together it seems. It was sounding off. I was getting an unbalanced sound between the pick ups and my volume control seemed wonky. 3 years ago I brought it back to stock with CT’s pots and a curl switch. Turns out that the switch was worn and not making contact. The volume pot was gritty feeling and didn’t respond to cleaner or lube. Is anyone else experiencing premature wear on switches and pots? Are there better choices than the old standbys?
