Is it worth changing/upgrading pickup covers?

(Purely cosmetic) Mainly for color emphasis reasons, not for maintenance....

I just ordered a new Seymour Duncan set - which is the new Cory Wong set (The Clean Machine SSS set) but they have white non-aged covers and I would love for silver chrome or shiny black pickup covers but not sure about the measurements either. Bare in mind I also ordered a gold adonized pickgaurd to replace the non-aged white pickgaurd in the photo, also the pickups I currently have are the stock Vintera 50's set with the cream colored covers. I am happy with them but promised myself a while back that if Cory Wong released his signature pickups, I'd buy them as soon as I saw them - so here we are.

I was looking at the Seymour Duncan black cover replacements on Amazon and I know they are 52m spaces but not sure if that's the case for the set I just ordered. I'm just bad at measuring so I won't even try, thought I'd try my luck here.

It's not a huge deal if I'm better off staying with the new set's non-aged covers but just wanted to hear your thoughts. Apparently the measurements go from 48-52 for single coil pickups.

@ABetterTelePlayer Do what you like; how your guitar looks to you is important. If you like the look of black pickup covers, go for it.

It's your guitar; anyone that tells you you're wrong can go pound sand.

This is a P90, but the principle is the same. You'll get an accurate center-to-center measurement by measuring to the sides of the poles.

The Seymour Duncan Antiquity Strat and Tele neck covers are really something else. I don't know how they "age" them, but they're really something to look at it. I wish they sold just the aged covers aftermarket. GFS tried to make a knock off, they look like a joke though, as if someone just carved out bits of plastic with a knife and thought that would be indicative of an old warn pickup.

I’m embarrassed to admit this never occurred to me. Better late than never!
