That's quite the guitar..... I had an epiphone in the 90's that looked very similar. Probably not as good though I'm sure. And a heck of a lot cheaper.

I bet you are digging that monster.

    After two days of sun:

I can't tell if the burst is fading yet or not, but I do think that the flame is growing more pronounced. Unfortunately, it's going to be cloudy/rainy for the next several days, so the experiment will be paused until next week or so.

All I can say is that's a fine looking LP. Enjoy!

That's a beautiful guitar! There's some serious magic in Gibson's burst finishes. My LP is tobacco sunburst under normal conditions, but under stage lights it goes almost as bright cherry as yours.

That's one of the strangest looking Telecasters I've ever seen.

Nothing wrong with those pictures. Beautiful guitar! Is that a 60s Les Paul with a AA top? Looks a lot like the one I played at GC yesterday which was a “Tea Burst”

I think that it is the "Iced Tea" burst, just based on the photos that I've seen of the new Standards. It's actually a 50s Standard. I like the lower-output BurstBucker 1&2s, and the meatier neck. I replaced the knobs with the speed knobs.

I've seen Sir Paul McCartney twice in concert, and he played a Les Paul on a song or two both times.

Well, three times, if you count Memphis in 1966, with three other guys, but he just played his Hofner Viol bass on that occasion. ("Yesterday" was with two guitars, bass, and drums.)

I wonder if McCartney had his guitar tech rewire his Les Paul so the knobs turn in the correct direction.

And BTW red sunburst is the best color for LPs. Just my opinion.

    Beautiful instrument.

He seems like the kind of guy at this point who would just roll with it.
But I don’t know. I’ve seen him play lefty live but pics both ways. How much is actual playing and how much is grabbing something off the rack to talk through a song or a photo op I don’t know.

Flames can really vary depending on the angle, lighting, etc. I had an R8 that certain angles would only reveal the slightest hint of flame while other angles were very pronounced. 04E7F76C-77DE-4946-898E-8873FDA9CEA8.jpeg

I've only seen him play left, I think... Photos could be just grabbing a guitar to take a shot with, or even reversed in developing sometimes. I will say he's a phenomenal player - drums, piano, guitar, bass... and probably some other instruments I don't know about.
