Red Tele action shot:

As did I. But I was really surprised at how well it played and how well it was set up. I didn’t need to tweak a thing. I also thought I’d need to change the pickups. I was truly surprised at how well the pickups sound, with them set low. Sounds much like a classic Tele. But I love the sound of the Bootstrap Palo Duros I installed with a 4-way switch on my BSB Affinity Tele 2020 model. I’ll probably get the itch to do that on this one too… but, for now, I’ll live with the standard 3-way setup and let it be for awhile.I'm not really into red guitars, BUT, I found this Squier Bullet Telecaster in Red Metalflake for $149.98 and fell in love. You can't really see the metalflake in the pic, but it's stunning! I bought just as a wall hanger...

Certain colors seem to belong on certain guitars, as the Customer for that guitar is also a fan of certain colors. So, you will see a lot of red Gibson ESs and Fender Strats. I think it just so happens that most guys who follow the beat of their own drum, and thus play Telecasters and Esquires and T types, also go their own way and avoid the red color. Red is the color of the conformist, at least in guitars.
For the record, I have 3 red Fender Stratocasters and only 2 red Fender Telecasters. Might be the only color I have more of in S style than T style. In all the T type projects I've ever done (scores) I've never finished nor assembled on a red T type body.
Not much action in this action shot!

There are a couple of Fender reds that I like - just the dark ones. Especially Mystic Red. (That's Jade Pearl on the right.)

Mystic Red - dark and mysterious, like blood.
