Understood, but that seems different than a claim that there are already multiple known bugs, of significance.

Those types of bugs are fixed with firmware/software updates. It’s possible that there could a hardware, design, manufacturing glitch but it seems unlikely.
Did folks have trouble with the early Helix or Katana releases?

Back to the topic: I am on the waitinglist at thomann in Germany. I feel like a little boy round Christmas.

In the three months I have had mine, It has worked flawlessly. I haven't heard of any bugs and would bet if there were they would be all over the internet. I think some people wish for bugs so they can say I told you so.

I had a bug with my Tone Master Twin Reverb... I should say I had a bug crawling on it the other day.

    Damn spider!

Fender better release a firmware update to fix this!

It amazes me that people are willing to order amps costing around $1000 just based on the hype without getting to go in a store and try one out or even see one in person.

I am pretty curious to try these but no way in hell I'd buy one without trying it first. All it requires is a little patience and you'll be able to go into a store and try these. 100% chance they'll be out on the floor at a place like GC once the initial hype wave dies down.

I bet most of the people who are ordering them already have perfectly good amps to play while they wait and these amps are not going to suddenly make anyone become a superstar.

I know this nuttiness is no different than people doing this with the latest iPhones but it seems like there are way fewer surprises waiting for you with something like an iPhone.

I’m not looking to be a superstar. I’m just looking to save my back and knees from my other Twin Reverb. :)

I mean when you get free shipping on your order, you have money to spend at the time and an opportunity to return it if you don't end up liking it, why wouldn't you order online if the product cannot be found locally? Essentially you can try it out like you would in a store except at home you can use your own guitar and pedals. Plus you can try it out in your underwear if you like....

My time is worth money too. Gotta possibly stay home to sign for a package that costs $1000. Going to have to take it somewhere to return it if I don't like it. And I know no amp is going to change what my fingers can do. And I have a perfectly good amp or two already.

Just seems like it's a lot less hassle to wait and just try it when it shows up for demo in store.. cause I'd probably be going to the store for some other reason anyway.

Just to be clear, the Kemper looks like an atmosphere testing unit for exploring alien planets, and the Tone Masters look, well, like time-capsule preserved, vintage blackface Fender guitar amplifiers.

Your local store and my local store might be out but if you go to Reverb there’s a long list of Tonemaster Amps. Some might be out but others comment in stock.

Any time I buy a high dollar item online I have the item held at my local FedEx or UPS so that I can pick it up after work. No need to take off work or waste my time.

I was going to mention the Pathfinder 15r as an example of a light weight great sounding nice looking amp that does a similar job to these new Fenders.

But buyers (with bad backs) want what buyers (with bad backs) want!
If they want BF Fender cosmetics...

IMO the Princeton package would be the one for us older guys whose backs are shot.
I've always thought the BFDR was a huge waste of chassis and cab for a little amp.
Mesa got it right when the decided a 1x12 combo amp need be no bigger than a Princeton.

While Fender is at it I'd be interested in that little computer being more fully utilized for other sounds.
They could easily and for no cost have added cranked Tweed Bassman and Tweed Deluxe sounds as long as they were producing a two channel digital modeling amp.

...But that would be a prettier RI Mustang...

I completely sympathize with the concept here, but it misses the critical point. A Deluxe reverb doesn’t have a presence knob, or a mids knob that you’d find on a tweed bassman. The magic is in the 1-1 form factor to model relationship.

    All true.
Drop an old F-150 body on a new Porsche and put a block under the gas pedal so you can't use all that power.
    Makes perfect sense!

I mean I do get the target of a nice simple tube amp model that's half the weight but looks the same for the same price as the heavier all tube original.
We older players seem to big a big niche!

Note that I'm playing along here, since that's what we do...
