A buddy of mine had a much worse version of your accident. He was in a big rig on an interstate and someone from the opposing lane crossed over the median and caused a head on collision several cars ahead of him. Well as you know he could not stop in time from full highway speed and plowed right through the accident. The things he saw were so horrific he still has PTSD years later (multiple fatalities, it was in the news). He was totally cleared by law enforcement and his company told him he could come back and drive as soon as he was ready. He never went back.

I’m no attorney and this is not legal advice - just sharing my experience.

5 years ago I was at a dead stop and smoked from behind by a driver going 50mph (cell phone). I was concussed and for 2 months - at the time I just played it off like I was good and just kept on trucking!

I now have horrible arthritis in my neck. Hopefully you don’t have any injuries pop up. The pain in the rear factor dealing w the insurance mess was equally as painful.

They have professionals to handle these circumstances. If I could do it over I would have hired one in a heart beat !
