Definitely a dog person. My wife and I had a Westie for 10 years, until she passed. (The dog, not my wife!) Great little dog!

What country are you in right now and is it the country that you live in?

(I'm in a country [Japan] other than where I live, as I write this.)

In the EU-beleaguered UK and yes to both.

What's your favourite iconic album cover that has NO LETTERING on the front? Abbey Road for me.

What is the best album from this decade? The best I've heard is These New Puritans' 'Field of Reeds'.

It pains me to admit that I can't name a single album from this decade.

Have you ever just walked away from an argument?

Bee / Wasp stings and Autotune.

'Would You Rather Bee or a Wasp' is one of my favourite Gary Moore tracks - what's one of yours?

All the ones written by Peter Green. I prefer them played by Peter Green, too.

Also, what's wrong with Autotune? There are some fantastic songs with Autotune liberally sprinkled throughout - used well, it's every bit as musical an effect as a wah or an overdrive or a flanger.

What's your favourite song with heavy use of Autotune? Mine is either...

Autotune sucks - it makes people sound like depressed robots.

    Rule one is don't panic

Rule two is don't engage. Mark twain said 'never argue with a fool. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

So yes all the time. Unless it does actually count. Then I'm a street fighter. And I'll take both of us down to beat you.

    What is your rule one?

Depends if you're into real music or not. BTW, the 'voice-over' treatment is a rip-off: Steve Vai did this in 'When I was a Little Boy' nearly 30 years ago, but he only applied it to a short joke fill-in between musical pieces.

Of course! I forgot that there was 'real' and 'fake' music, as opposed to just music you like and music you don't.... Yawn.

Well your Autotune fixation makes me wonder if you're on the right site - I've never seen this substitute for talent mentioned here before.

So, you're saying that Sufjan Steven has no talent? Or Justin Vernon? I also didn't realise you could only come to this site if you like a certain type of music. If that were the case, you probably wouldn't be welcome, either, with your Steve Vai fixation - not being Western Swing.

Autotune is just an effect, like a phaser or a flanger. It can be used well or badly, just like all effects. It's like saying 'I hate overdrive, only the talentless would use it to hide their poor chops. they obviously can't play cleanly'.

Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen. Because 'It's a town full of losers and I'm pulling out of here to win.'

What are your favourite and least favourite songs by you favourite band?
