Bugs Bunny (and all his pals and frenemies) for sure.

How do you find out about new music these days?

My friends Kelly and T hip me to newer, fresher stuff.
Also, my current main gig has me learning newer music.
He stays fairly current when doing covers.
Same great question please.

Pre you-know-what my main source of new music was the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Held over 9 days with dozens of venues and thousands of gigs it's impossible not to find something you like. I've discovered quite a few good bands over the years, some of whom have members here on TDPRI. Other than that I occasionally find new music via articles that come across my desktop via FB.

Same question please.

I keep up to date with new releases from my favorite artists on social media. I also pay close attention to Bandcamp, and subscribe to the mailing lists for plenty of record labels (some of my favorites are Moonjune Records, Cuneiform Records, Spinning Top, Fat Possum, Loma Vista, and YepRoc) as well as my favorite artists. I also always pay attention to the Spotify Release Radar.

What are your top 5 new releases (new, archival, or live are all acceptable) of 2021?

Hmm. I guess we don’t have too many fans of what 2021 had to offer in new music!

Some of my favorite new releases this year were:
  • St Vincent- Daddy’s Home
  • Pond- 9
  • Peter Frampton- Forgets the Words
  • Weezer- OK Human
  • Danny Elfman- Big Mess
A handful of my favorite archival and live releases were:
  • Frank Zappa- Nassau 1988
  • Tame Impala- Innerspeaker 10th anniversary box
  • The Beach Boys- Feel Flows
  • Joni Mitchell- Archives Vol. 2
  • Gentle Giant- Free Hand (Steven Wilson Remix)
And of course I eagerly await the Frank Zappa 200 motels reissue coming this week.

How about this: what’s just one new release you’ve enjoyed this year?

Well, I guess I didn't pick up any 2021 releases, but I did just find out that I missed the Black Keys' new album, which came out in 2021, so I'll go with that one (and I just ordered it).

What's your favorite holiday season food?

Wow, so many, but I really love shopping for stocking stuffers for my wife. I usually make a day of it, treat myself to lunch and a beer or two, and put some thought into picking out fun things as I go, usually with nothing specific in mind at the start.

Same question, please
