I’m boring. I like plain old corn flakes...maybe Corn Chex when I’m feeling saucy.

You know, I didn’t think about hot cereal...I LOVE oatmeal...and generally I just put a little honey and cinnamon on the “old fashioned” style grains...

I used to love Cream of Wheat too, until I became gluten intolerant...

    Same question, please...

I love to read, especially history.

I also love to hike, even city scapes.

    “We Ain’t Perfect”

A little ditty about a girl from the right side of the tracks and a boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and the ensuing romance.

    It’s a silly little rockabilly-tinged Buddy Holly-esque 3-minute tune I wrote in 7 minutes when I was 20 years old.

    Mine was entitled Jacqueline.
The inspiration is not name checked in the lyrics.
    I'm not super prolific.
I have a dozen of my own that I like.
    I have about 30 collaborations.
    Same question, please.

Well . . . "good" might be a stretch, but the first one with lyrics that I was kinda proud of was called "A Drowning Man," but I have mostly written the music/riffs for songs and hooked up with other lyricists over the years.

Have you ever written an instrumental?

    Yes, a few.
Years ago (42-Yikes) I wrote a break song (remember those?) called The Toad.
It had a typical disco :(;) drum beat, and VVC construction.
    It was 1978.
I have about a dozen instrumentals.
    I have about 50 songs.
    20 of them are co-writes.
    A couple may be good.
    Same question, please.

Yes, I’ve written several instrumentals...maybe 15 guitar-led, five harmonica/blues harp-led, and one short piano tune.

If you could competently play any instrument besides the instrument(s) you already play, which instrument would you choose?

Oboe or bassoon. Double reeds have a super steep learning curve, and I’d love to learn a lot of instruments, so might as well go for the hardest ones.

is there any instrument you put time into trying to learn but never had any success with

    Piano.
I wanted to play piano so badly...and I did; I played it so badly.
I took lessons as a kid, and can pick out a few little melodies and tunes here and there, but ultimately can’t really play it well.

    Bass is a close second.

    Same question.
