I am very addicted to internet "FREECELL". A stupid solitare card game. I can't spend more than half an hour on line without playing a game (freecell.net). I have been for years. I've got 2 different log-ins, home and work, over 175 total hours wasted on over 2500 games.

I feel sort of embarrased. Like I have a drug addiction. I don't like it when my wife catches me and asks, "Are you winning?". Makes me feel small, y'all.

Have any of you got similar addictions? How have you stopped?
No porno related responses please.

My wife has this problem, and to a lesser extent so do I. It's been a problem over the summers as my wife is a teacher (she gets about four weeks off) but I still have to work, so she sat at home and blew the entire day on the internet. Neither one of us was happy with this.

So the last two weeks of her summer break I had an idea. I programmed our router to drop all network connections between 9am until 7pm. This gives her a couple of hours at night to email, Facebook, and buy stuff, but not so much time that she'll blow the whole day doing nothing. She was not happy for the first two days.

She was so happy by the time she had to go back to school that we'll be doing it the first day of summer next year. Really made a difference.

The neat part is that since I set it to drop ALL activity, I can't change my mind, log back in and turn the internet on during the times when it is down!

Hope this helps.
