Maybe it can work out like noise cancelling technology? Balance our being wobbly and unstable with the earths....

What we don't know can't hurt us, right?

Interesting to think of the earth as gradually cooling off, slowing down, and eventually being a big dead rock in space.

That churning molten metal in there making all that electrical energy could power a lot of Teslas, why is Musk looking up when all we need is beneath our feet?

I have been watching the observations of this for a couple decades. The magnetic north has always been moving around a little bit, but the magnetic pole reversal is the interesting thing to watch. Just not enough known yet to understand the early warnings of it happening.

I have always been waiting for that one asteroid to put us out of our misery, but that 1959 solar flare occurrence happening again might just be enough to reset humanity without ending an epoch.:D Seems more likely as well.:lol:

Yeah, know about that and know it will swap again sooner or later, but that didn't have anything to do with the question. The last time it swapped our ancestors had barely discovered fire.

I'm still at home on a UNIX system but I see our work systems block and blacklist it for a few category reasons that include, politics, fake, conspiracy and malicious code. FYI, a lot of sites get blacklisted for hosting ads with malicious code. TDPRI's been there too but not lately.

My new band Neodymium Conspiracy has twenty good songs in the can but we can't start booking gigs until I'm totally bald.

I sure hope the people in Australia don't start falling off the earth as a result of this. It's bad enough that they have to walk around upside down all of the time anyway.

It's cool the earth's magnetic polarity can be measured in the sea floor; spreading centers. Iron orients to the polarity. It can only be measured this way for ~250M years as that's the oldest sea floor the older having been subducted under continents. it's the column in black and white that only extends to the beginning of the Triassic.

Bonus information! Did you know that each time/age delineation is the boundary of a mass extinction? Generally and traditionally based on the fossil record... Geez I jsed to have this entire chart memorized!

I love the Geologic Time Scale. Everytime I look something up on it, time gets back to real perspective. I wish everyone would try to understand the true relationship of time. Alas, humans are primarily myopic.
