Interesting look at a weirdo '63 korina strat

    Interesting indeed! My Strat has a black korina body, no way in heck I would paint a solid color over it though....

    Thanks! It’s a Warmoth body. I also have a black korina Jazzmaster from them. I’m a big, big fan of korina. I had no idea Fender ever used it themselves.

    I'd love to see that Jazzmaster if you have any photos laying around. If it looks anywhere near that good, what a setup.

    Thanks for the compliments on the Strat, she is something special! Here is the Jazzmaster (and a couple of saguaros):

    For a finish with visible grain, black korina just does it for me. I like its appearance more than flamed/quilted maple and the like.

    My god. I've had only one GAS issue of late, and it's been a Jazzmaster. I asked for that which I could not handle. What a great looking axe.
