Which of these do you think would make the best (any given crowd really digging them) candidates for instrumental renditions? Thanks

I never heard the original because; Britney spears:

I think the Ventures would approve this picking on the Beatles:

Thanks but not interested in any new material suggestions in this thread (for that you can go here http://www.tdpri.com/threads/so-ive...tal-band-tune-suggestions-appreciated.913164/) ; looking for input on thoughts of what songs in the OP would best translate to instrumentals, as far as the average given audience is concerned

Back in the day, my band used to do an instrumental version of Enola Gay, by OMD.

Edit: oops, sorry. I just read you're not looking for any new suggetions. Well, in that case maybe Flock of Seagulls.

I'd'a made this thing into a poll, except I don't know how to do that
(at which points my sons would chime in "Yeah Dad, and you claim to be an IT professional "

I vote for Melt with You...I think people would recognize it. It has a strong melody and when I listen to it I want to sing along. When I listen to American Girl I want to hear Tom tell the story. I Ran doesn't have as strong of a melody and If You Leave doesn't rock me.

I also have been somewhat leaning towards Melt W/ You, as my next selection to work up instrumentally

It's the strongest song of those four instrumentally speaking.
