I've posted previously about choosing between Eastman/Yamaha/PRS, still can't decide so in the meantime I've jumped on this.

Artist TC59, I'll probably set it up in open E for some slide fun, though I may opt for Open G, which will allow me to tune my regular tele back to standard so I can gig it more. We will see!
These guitars are dirt cheap, very well made and finished, pickups are more than adequate, locking tuners etc and the best part is that it cost AU$249 delivered!

What a nice grain! How is the neck and the pickups?

That’s a nice looking guitar. If you were to ask me, I’d say open G. It looks like a great axe for gettin’ yer Keef on!

    congrats!

I'm definitely influenced by the whole keef look, and open E doesn't seem quite right on a maple board to me? Hmmmm...

    I'm loving the grain too!
Neck is slightly small in my hands, but not in a bad way. It's almost unfinished on the back, I might give it a touch up with steel wool to make it a bit more satin feel.
Frets can do with a polish but that's easy peasy. Pickups are sweet, humbucker mode very fat and warm with good bite, split mode they are definitely in the tele ballpark, I need more time with it to get better opinion but so far I'm stoked!

Hahahaha! nice! im looking at the same!!

But I want the 335 more than this. I dont like the natural look on tele's and strats.. if this was offered in another color, I may not be able to resist! and a rosewood board please!

No real catch that I can see or that I have heard of, personally I would prefer the neck to be a touch wider and smoother on the back but I'm nitpicking. Can't wait to gig this bad boy!

The other guitarist in my band also bought one a week or two ago, he played it last weekend and it sounded mighty! He bought his with the tweed case, it's not exactly G&G quality but definitely does the job and looks great! I've used a black case from Artist for years and have had no issues, though the tweed case may have a better neck rest pocket?

It's got weight to it, but it's not excessive. Don't have a scale to measure sorry.

That is a very nice-looking and sounding guitar. What a great deal.

Lots of positive reviews for Artist guitars around, the TC59 is probably their biggest seller right now, but all their models get good reviews.

The 'Bullbucker' pickups as used in the TC59 get a lot of praise too, you can buy them separately for a very reasonable amount.

I like the look of this:

And this for $49, delivered??? If the neck and body are even half decent, it's a steal! :)

Throw a bullbucker into that Strat to give you single coil/ humbucker option would be fun!

The TC59 looks good. I bought a Grungemaster but would have considered the tele if they had a lefty in stock.

The Grungemaster is very good apart from sharp fret edges. It was easy to set up. The pickups sound fine, I have no desire to swap them for genuine P90s.

I'd seen other reviews of the Grunge master that didn't wow me, but Kingman really makes that sing hey?

Thanks! I bought mine without the case, that would have taken it up to an exorbitant $308! Luckily I had a spare Roadrunner case at home that fits it like a glove!
