These "typical western intellectual arrogance" guys, in my observation, always go to the dentist for a toothache, and seek a cardiologist when their chest hurts.

I'm fascinated by how this place has no tolerance for anything that doesn't conform to the materialists paradigm.

I'm not saying Yeti is real, but I am saying that things are just narrow minded enough that there are certain things that can't be discussed without being the object of contempt and derision.

Gigantopithecus existed, but died off because it was too big. More agile monkeys that ate less dustbinned it. In fact, there are two recent species of Homo discovered in the last ten years, that evolved to be smaller- "shrinking" as the resources fueling their isolated populations also dwindled. How would such a primate maintain a breeding stock of available parents?

It's not derision; it's that you shouldn't blur the line of fantasy and science and then present this notion as science. This does prompt the science-minded to start tap-dancing, as it should.

I haven’t seen the waitress all night. And to think I was initially annoyed at the two drink minimum. Now I’m downright thirsty.

    Yes, it is.

You have perfectly described the husband of my sister in law. He's tall, has hair over all the body, has the intelligence of an ape and is able to avoid me as frequently as possible...

Now I'm sure that poor old Yeti fell off the edge of our flat earth.

This is so very funny... my favorite part is this quote...

"You can’t kill a legend with anything as mundane as facts," he said."

Now you can't say that I'm not open to any new discovery, but so often (every single one so far) has been proven to be false.

Show some actual provable facts for a Yeti, and I will look into it as something real. Until then it is only a story, a myth, a fantasy, etc...

It's the same with any myth or legend.

    But, no Yeti droppings.
They would be well preserved in all that Ice and Snow.

Well, that's certainly accurate, although the west seems to have it worse than other places. In this case it means TDPRI.
