Forgot these guys! Great vocals and second solo on "Birth School Work Death."

The 80s get trashed but there were just great original songs coming out all over the place. Remember this one:

Can you define "incredible" and "superior"? I've never heard anyone anywhere say that Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker's second album was superior to their first album, and yet it's mentioned in this thread.

Anyway, I'm going with Heart - Dreamboat Annie, and then Little Queen.

Also Fleetwood Mac and then Fleetwood Mac - Rumours. I know, I know, but the Buckingham-Nicks era was essentially a new band.

Unquestionably, Madonna and then Madonna - Like a Virgin.

Smash Mouth, their first two albums are excellent, especially Astro Lounge.

Not to be confrontational but GVF no....they’re essentially a mediocre 70’s Tribute band.

Adler was sitting behind Larry King at the Dodgers/Red Sox game last night. That is all.

To me Astro Lounge is the definitive SM album. I was fortune enough to be in the studio when they were recording Fush Yu Mang vocals and bass (The Fonz, Walking On The Sun) and it was obvious they were going somewhere. But I had no idea Astro Lounge would be such a huge jump up. Fantastic album I still listen to today.

I'm listening to Keith Richard's autobiography and the part I listened to today he said he's responsible for getting John Phillips hooked on heroin. He said he never saw anyone get hooked immediately after trying it. And he was also saying that they were going to collaborate and of all the songs and ideas that Phillips had. What a waste of talent.
