Very nice. I'd put a white guard on it, but that's just me. Love that color.

Nope. It doesn’t have the same neck or feature set as the BSB version, which is the Baja 50s replacement. That’s just confusing enough for me.

Based on the posted specs on Fender.com all of the Vintera 50's Modified Teles (including the Daphne Blue above) are nearly identical to the prior BSB 50s Baja -- same soft V 9.5" neck, same 4-way + S1 switch, same pickups (twisted tele neck + broadcaster bridge). As far as I can tell there are only three differences: (1) the 2 new color options in addition to the BSB (love the Daphne Blue btw); (2) possibly the body material -- the BSB Baja was Ash whereas this may be Alder; and (3) the higher list price for the new Vintera modified 50s line. The Vintera 50s Teles, as opposed to the Vintera 50s Modified Teles, on the other hand are quite different from the Bajas as they have different pickups and neck.

Just posting this detail for clarification and to note that a new buyer can save some bucks picking up a 50s Baja from remaining stock or used vs. a new Vintera Modified 50s Tele, unless you just really want one of the new color options (both of which I quite like).

In any event, the 50s Baja tele, err I mean "Vintera 50s Modified Tele," are great guitars and I hope you enjoy it!

Yes it does. These are spec for spec a Baja 50s as well.

Edit* ah I see this has been addressed.

    Hi.

Nice. That's my current fav 'if I was going to buy a guitar' colour.

This series has only been available for a few days, right? Odd to be getting rid of an unplayed demo model so soon. Or not, who knows what goes on behind the scenes with stocking. Fortuitous for you though.

$999 MSRP but I got mine for $750. Just gotta ask a retailer. They usually come down.

I'm thinking a white pick guard would work better?

    Cool color however

Ok, it is just confusing enough for me. You be right on all counts. I'm getting mixed between Anderton's initial descriptions and Fender's current descriptions. It seems that Sweetwater has perhaps the clearest descriptions of the line.
